Our Story
The experience behind Telesis Services began in 1978 with a simple assignment: figure it out.
While working for two maxillofacial surgeons and helping coordinate their real estate activities, Scott Banta was handed a new assignment — rezone a property on U.S. 441 in Pembroke Pines to accommodate a Denny's restaurant and a mattress store. With no previous land development experience, the direction was simple: go to the Pembroke Pines Planning Department, learn the process, and figure out what needed to be done.
That first rezoning sparked an interest in land development that became a career. In July 1983, Scott moved from South Florida to the Orlando area, beginning more than four decades of hands-on Central Florida development experience.
Over the years, the projects became larger and more complex — land acquisition, residential and multifamily communities, master-planned and mixed-use developments, entitlements, permitting and infrastructure development. But the basic approach has never really changed: understand the opportunity, identify the challenges, figure out what needs to happen, and put the pieces together to create value.
